Basilan Day Trip
Overview
The Philippines' rubber capital โ wild, green, and almost entirely unexplored.
Just 7 kilometers across the Basilan Strait from Zamboanga City, Basilan is one of the least-visited provinces in the Philippines โ and one of the most fascinating. It's the country's largest rubber producer, home to the indigenous Yakan people, and blessed with beaches (including one with pink sand from crushed red coral) that remain almost completely off the tourist trail. This day trip gives you a genuine look at a part of the Philippines that most people will never see.
Highlights
โฆMalamawi Island โ quiet white sand beach, almost no tourists
